The 9-Day Cleanse

 

One of the ways the liver deals with impurities is to increase body fat to enfold these impurities to protect the body from their influence. Diets are not successful for long term weight loss because they don’t address the need to cleanse the body of impurities. So on a traditional diet, when you lose weight you have an increase percentage of impurities. The body senses increase levels and goes into emergency fat production, i.e. rebound fat. By cleansing first, impurities are released so the body sheds fat. The result is better overall health with less fat and more muscle.

 

Habits to break: Wheat (gluten), Dairy (milk, whey, cheese, yogurt, kefir, casein) caffeine, alcohol, bad (Trans hydrogenated) fats, soy, corn, peanuts, processed foods, sugar (high fructose corn syrup), artificial sweeteners, fried foods, all meat except seafood (salmon and trout are best). Before starting cleanse reduce coffee to one cup per day.

 

Habits to make: drink 8 glasses of water per day (filtered water is best),

 

Eat the big 5 superfoods every day (1.seeds: flax, pumpkin, sunflower, sesame 2. dark green vegies 3.cruciferous vegies:broccoli, brussel sprouts, cabbage, cauliflower, kale 4. Sulfur: garlic, onion 5.Berries: blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, organic fresh or frozen. (can make in a smoothie)

 

Take supplements: digestive enzymes, probiotics 3 xs’s daily, liver-support antioxidant 2 xs’s daily, multivitamin, vit. C, essential fats (omega 3, fish oil) once daily, glutamine powder 1tsp at bedtime.

 

Avoid salt and sodium

 

Exercise daily: cardio, weight training, stretching, First thing in the morning take 9 deep breaths, move and stretch (like a cat)

 

Use a sauna or steam room for detox. (the infrared sauna is the best), so is Epson salt bath with ginger tea. A high quality air purifier is also good. Hard wood floors or tile are better than carpet. Take your shoes off when entering your home. Don’t smoke. Use glass instead of plastic for drinking glasses and food storage.

 

 

 

Cleanse for Life:

 

Reintroduce on thing at a time. (If symptoms return, don’t eat that) Follow the 80/20 rule; stick the plan 80% of the time. Drink 6-8 glasses of water daily, have a superfood 2x’s per day, have 3 servings of berries and/or vegies per day, eat wheat and dairy products no more than once every 4 days, have alcohol or caffeinated drinks sparingly, have seeds daily, take a multivitamin, Vit. C and essential fats (omeg3, fish oil) daily.

 

 

Many patients are sub-clinical hypothyroid. To test take your axillary temperature first thing in the morning. It should be 97.6

 

If you have gut problems, take 2 ounces of aqueous colloid of silver greater than 40 ppm on an empty stomach twice daily, than fast for 1 hour, for 2 days. This will kill the bad bacteria. Then add probiotics to reestablish the good bacteria. To further facilitate healing, add these herbs: licorice, aloe vera, peppermint, marshmallow root and slippery elm bark. These can be in capsules or tea. These are best taken on an empty stomach as well. Here’s some help for building new tissue: 2,000 mg of vit. C, 10,000 IUs of vit. D, 250 mg of magnesium, and a good B-complex daily. Kill, reseed, restore. Put your gut back on track and watch your health improve.
